New Zealand Holiday Home - Guests CommentsOur beach house at Opononi is near new having been completed in November 2004. Here's what our guests have written...
The website doesn't do it justicethe view is amazing and there are so many things to do. Plenty of room inside and out. Never had a problem with hot water or queues for bathrooms. Lovely neighbours as well as the Opononi locals. Am already planning our next trip back.Sims family, Auckland - Christmas Had a wonderful time under the one roofAll 7 cousins all aged under 7 playing wonderfully together. A big enough house for the parents to find piece elsewhere if they needed to. So rare to get such a fine big place to stay in. Thank you for providing that (and all of the linen & towels & a lot more eg a large & quite stocked pantry)!Salmon extended family of 16 - November Gathering of the Willinck-Mosford-Bull-Salmon-Embling clansCame over to Auckland (from Australia) for a wedding and spent subsequent 5 days in Opononi. Great location. Variable weather but fun had by all. Disappointed only to find the folder of information on things to do, maps etc on our last day as someone had put it away in a cupboard. Thanks for a memorable few days.Willinck, Mosford, Bull, Salmon, Embling clans, Australia and Auckland - November A fantastic place to have a family 80th birthday reunionPerris family - NovemberOur 3-generation family from Lancashire UK and Devonport NZ aged 1-73Enjoyed sand boarding, kayaking, dam building - great fun.Burfood family, UK and Auckland - October Awesome weekend. Ayesha and friends (12 adults, 6 kids), Auckland - May Great for a large group of singles and families with young babiesLovely view and interesting town.Rebecca Hay and friends, Warkworth - April Thanks for an awesome timeThis house is amazing, brilliant view. Lots of bugs though - lol. And lack of hot water, but otherwise amazing! Had a great time.[Owner: 9 Adults, 14 kids (total 23) were staying. We've installed pressure reducers in the 4 x showers to help save hot water and have a super-size 240l hot water cylinder which is on full time (ie not rip-lay controlled) but teenagers will still use it all up! We've proven that 23 adults can shower without running out of hot water.] Good, Page, Richardson, Morgan and Bakers families - April Excellent overall presentation.
